Hi everyone,
I’ll start with the biggest and brightest announcement of my life, which I haven’t shared publicly yet. I want to let this group in first, because your support on this book has meant so much to me.
My wife Jess and I are expecting our first in mid-April. A baby girl. We are thrilled, and mom and baby are healthy (though they’ve been fighting a bit over food preferences!).
I am 11 months into writing this book, and my timeline just got REAL. I’ve knocked 16 chapters down and have two to go.

Proudly donning my new lid!
Where I’d Love Your Help.
It’s a bit cart-before-the-horse, but I’m trying to get ahead and connect with the endorsers I’d only ever dreamed of. (On top of the endorsements I’m hoping for from this group, of course!)
Here’s my dream list: https://joshschachter.com/blurbs
If you can connect me to any of them, or know someone who can, please let me know.
If it helps, I’ll make a personalized video message and landing page, like these two I did for Danny Meyer and Malcolm Gladwell:

Why I need your help: My attempts to solicit famous authors during the Q&A of their book talks at the 92Y in Manhattan have failed.
I’ve Made It Fun
On my site, you can vote for the 5 people on my dream list whose endorsement would mean the most to you. I’ll bring those votes straight to them as social proof.
New voices.
Four leaders have joined the list of people interviewed for this book since my last newsletter in early September:
Klint Kendrick, HR M&A leader and investor-advisor in Graphio.
Matt Blumberg, founded Return Path and co-founded Bolster, now CEO of Markup AI.
Gemma Cipriani-Espineira, Chili Piper’s first Chief Customer Officer, now at Atlassian.
David Karp, friend and mentor first, former customer of mine second.
That's all for now. Wishing everyone a wonderful Autumn 🍁 and a Happy Halloween 🎃.
As always, thank you for being part of this journey.
—Josh
